Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) offers Under Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering. Electrical Engineers usually concerned with using electricity to transmit energy. It is considered to deal with the problems associated with large-scale electrical systems such as power transmission and control.
This course provides a basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles along with the required supporting knowledge of mathematics, science, computing and engineering fundamentals. Students then choose to specialize in one or more sub disciplines towards the end of the degree. Power engineering deals with generation, transmission and distribution of electricity as well as the design of range of related devices which includes transformers, electric generators, electric motors, high voltage engineering and power electronics.
Control engineering focuses on the modeling of a diverse range of dynamic systems and the design of controllers that will cause these systems to behave in the desired manner. To implement such controllers and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
