Therailway line from Bhagalpur-Bounsi is already planned to connect Rampurhat,Which is linked with Howrah and Guwahati.Tht nearby airport are at the Deoghar ,Ranchi, Gaya, Patna and at Kolkata. Bhagalpur, the silk city is 50 kms.
Away from the Institute.It takes about 30 minutes by road to reach NTPC, Kahalgaon from Bhagalpur. Banka is very close to the source of raw materials needed for heavy industries, itsproximity to Jharkhand (bordering Deoghar, Dumka and Godda) and non-perennial river like Chandan makes it a very strong contender for coal-based power plant investment and other heavy industry. Jas Infrastructure Capital (a company of Abhijeet Group) is setting up 2640MW(4x660 MW) coal based power unit at Bounsi Block.
This Project spreads over 1,573 acres of land and will be implemented in two phases, phase-I with 2x 660 MW and phase-II with 2x660MW capacity. Bounsi is famous for the Mandar Hill,having its mention in Indian Scriptures for the significant role played in Samudra Manthan. A Jain temple at the summit in close proximity to the Vishnu temple is a sign of religious harmony.
